[edit] gif image on cheapflights.co.uk
IMHO this is retarded, it follows no reasonable logical deductive pathway to link the MD5 hash to a random link on google. It is the intention of MD5 hashes to give unique numbers.
Saving discussion here in case anyone really wants to put it back. (I didn't write it.) 206.127.185.95 07:12, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
Images 7 and 20 also represent the middle 8 bytes of the 32 byte hash:
- dinosaur20 03B8 (13/32-16/32)
- dinosaur7 128B (17/32-20/32)
When googling "03B8128B," the results page has only a single result, without any of the usual supplemental information:
http://www.google.ca/#hl=en&q=03B8128B
Which leads to the 1x1.gif (blank) at URL
http://www.cheapflights.co.uk/ic/7cb08ee4.gif?pt=ODP&g=03b8128b-17ff-42ed-a893-e6dc1ceb6495&r=
Of particular interest is the 03b8128b-17ff-42ed-a893-e6dc1ceb6495 portion, which is another 32 byte hash. The format and context suggest it is a previously cached sessionID on the server. Who created this session is unknown, but the accessed image has since been erased. It could hold other meaning as well, if any.
Significance of the 8-byte 7cb08ee4 is currently unclear.
[edit] 7cb08ee4.gif Header Diagram
Out of curiosity, I downloaded the 1x1 gif and looked at it under a hex editor. This is the complete structure of 7cb08ee4.gif.
The file itself seems to be formatted correctly but there are three extra bytes appended to the end. All gif files I've seen end with the trailer marker ";" (0x3b), but this has three ASCII characters beyond it, namely "if." or 69-66-0d in hex
Perhaps this is some special flagging convention that I'm not aware of, but it seems enough of an oddity to worth noting.

I noticed the "yu" image ending when I opened the following imageS (the only fish i remembered that wasnt arounddead)
this essentially led to a TRON page that associates the (rearranged {+2010 218A}) hash "068fd33328904256e29235233280b207" with unicode letters in Arabic/English (Braille)/Korean (KAKE)
Rearranging {+2001 21a8} hash "06f8 3db3 0238 6492 2e52 3395 0322 7b82" leads to a series of blacklistings & flèches
Rearranging another way leads to alternating {+2001 2a18} hash "0f68 3bd3 0328 6942 25e2 3935 0232 78b2
[edit] Unclear Association (explanation needed)
This note was left appended to the previous section without adequate explanation of its significance or relevance. I have separated it to prevent confusion.

[edit] dinosaur 14 & 26
Does it appear to anyone else that these pictures are of a microscope's view of circuitry? If so, they are most likely sourced pictures from somewhere on the web just like the robot and NASA pics. --75.108.57.220 06:52, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
[edit] Dino 24
Afaik, Dino24 did not occur in the speculations so far. To me, it looks like a giant mouse trap with somebody caught in it with the head in the center of the image and the legs to the right. The head looks suspiciously bright so it might be a skull. I cannot recognize the other objects on the trap, maybe somebody got an idea?
